Anxiety is an emotion which is characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil and includes feelings of dread over anticipated events. It may look like ruminating thoughts, feeling stuck in a cycle, and consistent worry or feeling overwhelmed. Anxiety shows up in many forms and can be cognitive, physical, and behavioural.
